Fund Day Slated for September 22nd at Wilderness Ridge Country Club
Lincoln's Wilderness Ridge Country Club will host the 2024 edition of Fund Day this season. Scheduled for Monday, September 22nd, Fund Day is NWAGA's primary fundraiser in support of girl's golf in Nebraska. Teams of four may enter and compete in a Shamble competition where all team members tee off and the best drive is selected. From there, all golfers play their own ball into the hole from the selected drive (must use at least two drives from each player). For scoring purposes, the two best net scores on each hole will be counted. The event includes 18-holes of golf, cart, use of the practice range, flag prizes, merchandise prizes and post round heavy appetizers.

ELIGIBILITY
Entrant must be a member of NWAGA. Entrant must also be a resident of Nebraska (see below) with an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index® issued by a “member club” of the Nebraska Golf Association. All players must conform to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the United States Golf Association and The R&A.
An individual is considered a resident of Nebraska if they: a) maintain either a primary or a secondary residence in Nebraska, or b) are an active duty member of the United States Military stationed in Nebraska, or c) are a student physically attending college in Nebraska within a time period four-months prior to the event, or d) are a graduate of a Nebraska high school attending an out-of-state college. If these criteria are in question, the NWAGA Tournament Committee shall render any final decision.
Handicaps: The NWAGA Handicap Committee requires that all participants in NWAGA tournaments have a minimum of 10 acceptable scores posted within 12 months of the registration deadline.
FIELD SIZE
Limited to 30 teams (120 players).
ENTRIES: FORM, FEE, CLOSING DATE
All sides must file an online entry application. Entry fee of $460 must be paid by every side. Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if NWAGA is notified (402-505-4653, ext. 103 or via e-mail at cpitkin@nebgolf.org) before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded in the event of medical condition, if requested before the first day of competition. No refund for any reason after that day. A $60 service charge will be deducted from all refunds. Entry includes 18-holes of golf, use of the practice facility, cart, prizes and awards reception.
Entries open at 8:00 a.m. CDT on Friday, August 1, 2025. Entries must be received by NWAGA no later than 5:00 p.m. CDT on Monday, September 15, 2025. If the competition receives more than the maximum number of entries by 12:00 p.m. CDT on August 1, a drawing will be used to determine the field and wait list order. If the tournament does not receive more than the maximum number of entries by 12:00 p.m. CDT on August 1, the field will be determined by order of entry. Entries may be accepted after the deadline, if field is not full, at the discretion of NWAGA. Partner substitutions may be made prior to competition.
MAXIMUM HANDICAP INDEX
The maximum handicap index permitted for this event is 40.4. Golfers whose handicap index exceeds 40.4 will be reduced to the 40.4 maximum.
FOOD ALLERGIES
Participates with food allergies or special dietary needs are responsible for contacting the club to arrange any accommodation.
ENTRIES RECEIVED

FLIGHTS
Four separate flights will be determined based on Team Handicap (combination of Handicap Indexes).
HANDICAP ALLOWANCE
Based on September 2 Handicap Revision. 85% of Course Handicap.
STARTING HOLES
Team Handicap will determine shotgun starting position with the lowest Team Handicap beginning on hole 1.
CADDIES
Caddies are not permitted.
PERSONAL APPEARANCE & FOOTWEAR
Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. Traditional spikes are prohibited. Model Local Rule G-7.
DETERMINING TIES
All ties will be broken by scorecard playoff using the USGA method of comparing scores.
POSTING SCORES
Shamble scores are not eligible for posting for handicap purposes.

Lodging
Due to the many hotel options in the area, there is not a reserved block of rooms for this event.
Digital Scoring
It is required that one individual from each group enter hole scores for players in that group following each hole using the Golf Genius mobile app. Instructions for downloading the app will be included in pre-event material provided to players following the deadline.
