MAXIMUM HANDICAP INDEX

PLAYERS

Format

The tournament will consist of 36-holes of Four-Ball stroke play (both gross and net). In Four-Ball, two players compete together as a side, with each playing their own ball. The side’s score for a hole is the lower score of the two.

FLIGHTS
The Four-Ball tournament is not Flighted. Teams will compete for Low-Net and Low-Gross awards.

HANDICAP ALLOWANCE
Based on July 7 Handicap Revision. An individual’s Playing Handicap is 85% of their Course Handicap. Maximum Individual Handicap Index is 40.4.

PAIRINGS
A side’s combined Handicap Index will determine round one shotgun starting position with the lowest combined Handicap Indexes starting on hole 1. For the final round of competition, sides will be grouped by round one net score with the leading sides starting on hole 1.

CADDIES
Caddies are prohibited.

PERSONAL APPEARANCE & FOOTWEAR
Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. Traditional spikes are prohibited. Model Local Rule G-7.

DETERMINING TIES
Any first place ties for overall gross, overall net and net flights will be determined by a scorecard play-off using the following method as recommended by the USGA.

Scorecard Play-Off Procedure:
The winner will be based on the best score for the last round. If the tying sides have the same score for the last round or if the competition consists of a single round, the winner will be determined based on the score for holes 10-18, holes 13-18, holes 16-18 and finally the 18th hole. If there is still a tie, then the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn. If the round is less than 18 holes, the number of holes used in matching scores may be adjusted. For net competition, handicaps will be applied the same as they were for the competition.

POSTING SCORES
NWAGA will post scores for handicap purposes.

Practice Rounds
Practice rounds are available at a time convenient to Oakland Golf Club. Please call 402-685-5339 to schedule your practice round. The rate is $30.00 and includes cart rental.
