York CC to Host 2022 Fall Meeting

Executive members and club representatives will gather to recap the 2022 season and discuss plans for the upcoming 2023 season. Registration is now open. Please click on the "Entry" tab above to register.

ELIGIBILITY
Entrant must be a member of NWAGA or a female member of Nebraska Junior Golf. Entrant must also be a resident of Nebraska (see below) with an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index® issued by a “member club” of the Nebraska Golf Association. All players must conform to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the United States Golf Association and The R&A.

An individual is considered a resident of Nebraska if they: a) maintain either a primary or a secondary residence in Nebraska, or b) are an active duty member of the United States Military stationed in Nebraska, or c) are a student physically attending college in Nebraska within a time period four-months prior to the event, or d) are a graduate of a Nebraska high school attending an out-of-state college. If these criteria are in question, the NWAGA Tournament Committee shall render any final decision.

FIELD SIZE
Limited to 25 teams. (100 players)

ENTRIES: FORM, FEE, CLOSING DATE
All teams must file an online entry application. Entry fee of $240 must be paid by every side. Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if NWAGA is notified (402-505-4653, ext. 103 or via e-mail at nwaga@nebgolf.org) before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded in the event of medical condition, if requested before the first day of competition. No refund for any reason after that day. A $30 service charge will be deducted from all refunds. Entry includes 18-holes of golf, continental breakfast, boxed lunch and all Fall meeting materials.

Entries open at 8 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Entries must be received by NWAGA no later than 5 p.m. CDT on Monday, September 27, 2021. If the competition receives more than the maximum number of entries by 12 p.m. CDT on September 1, a drawing will be used to determine the field and wait list order. If the tournament does not receive more than the maximum number of entries by 12 p.m. CDT on September 1, the field will be determined by order of entry. Entries may be accepted after the deadline, if field is not full, at the discretion of NWAGA. Partner substitutions may be made prior to competition.

CADDIES
Caddies are prohibited.

PERSONAL APPEARANCE, FOOTWEAR
Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. Traditional spikes are prohibited. Model Local Rule G-7.

DETERMINING TIES
If there are ties for 1st place in a flight, a USGA scorecard playoff will determine the winner.

SCORE POSTING
Scramble scores are not acceptable scores for posting purposes.

FORMAT
The format for golf is a Four-Person Scramble with the following modifications:

  • You may lift, clean, and place a ball within one club length of the selected ball’s original position.
  • In doing you must remain in the same condition (i.e. fairway, rough or penalty area).
  • You may not use consecutive shots of a single team member for any shot off the putting green.
  • On the putting green, you may use any team member’s putt.
  • Each team member MUST contribute a minimum of two tee shots.

A team’s Playing Handicap is comprised of 25% of the lowest player’s Course Handicap, 20% of the second lowest player’s Course Handicap, 15% of the third lowest player’s Course Handicap and 10% of the highest player’s Course Handicap figured to the hundredth decimal point. Maximum Individual Handicap Index is 40.4.

Based on September 27 Handicap Revision.

PRACTICE ROUNDS
Practice rounds are not available for the Fall Meeting.

PLAYER CHECK-IN
Each player is required to check-in before the meeting on Monday.

GOLF CARTS
Sides are permitted the use of a shared cart (two players per cart) at York Country Club.

PRACTICE FACILITIES
Practice facilities will be open to participants no more than one hour prior to their first daily start time each day of the tournament. Practice following play each day is prohibited.

RESTROOMS
Restrooms will be available in the clubhouse and on the golf course.

OTHER FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE
York Country Club will be available for other food and beverage service each day of the tournament.

DIGITAL SCORING
Players will be required to use the USGA TM application (available on iOS and Android app store) which will serve as their Official Tournament Scorecard. Verification of scorecards will be done verbally following the round. Information on using the USGA TM application will be provided in advance with tutorials posted to the NWAGA web site.

PUBLIC SCOREBOARD
To prevent gatherings there will be no public scoreboard. A scoreboard may be accessed via the USGA TM application and/or the NWAGA web site.

AWARDS
Flight Winners - Merchandise Prizes: Top two in each flight.
