Grandfield, Palu Win Overall Low-Net Crown
Barb Grandfield, Elkhorn and Eunice Palu, Crofton fired a round one 62 (-8) to lead the way going into the final round at North Bend Golf Course. Due to severe weather and lightning suspending round two, that was all Grandfield and Palu needed to secure the overall Low-Net title in the first NWAGA event of 2022. Shelly Liddick, Bellevue and Allison Temple, Norfolk caught fire after starting 2-over thru 3. The duo rattled off five birdies over their next 10-holes to finish at 67 (-3) and win the overall Low-Gross division. The following teams won their respective flights -
1st Flight - Pat Ourada, Axtell & Kim Oerter, Kearney, 63 (-7).
2nd Flight - Judy Hansen & Beckie Stec, Grand Island, 65 (-5).
3rd Flight - Michelle Berlin & Jeanine McKeone, Omaha, 67 (-3).
4th Flight - Barb Grandfield, Elkhorn & Eunice Palu, Crofton, 62 (-8).
5th Flight - Annabet Foster, Grand Island & Micki Fowler, Hastings, 65 (-5).
A special thanks to Tyler Kingston, PGA, and Dan Fabian, Course Superintendent, along with their staff for the wonderful hospitality throughout the event. The golf course was in great condition!
