All players must conform to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the United States Golf Association and The R&A.

An individual is considered a resident of Nebraska if they: a) maintain either a primary or a secondary residence in Nebraska, or b) are an active duty member of the United States Military stationed in Nebraska, or c) are a student physically attending college in Nebraska within a time period four-months prior to the event, or d) are a graduate of a Nebraska high school attending an out-of-state college. If these criteria are in question, the NWAGA Tournament Committee shall render any final decision.

FIELD SIZE
Limited to 54 sides (108 players).

ENTRIES: FORM, FEE, CLOSING DATE
All sides must file an online entry application. Entry fee of $260 must be paid by every side. Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if NWAGA is notified (402-505-4653, ext. 103 or via e-mail at nwaga@nebgolf.org) before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded in the event of medical condition, if requested before the first day of competition. No refund for any reason after that day. A $30 service charge will be deducted from all refunds. Entry includes 36-holes of competition; cart; use of the practice facility; prizes; player dinner and awards luncheon.

Entries open at 8 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Entries must be received by NWAGA no later than 5 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. If the competition receives more than the maximum number of entries by 12 p.m. CDT on April 1, a drawing will be used to determine the field and wait list order. If the tournament does not receive more than the maximum number of entries by 12 p.m. CDT on April 1, the field will be determined by order of entry. Entries may be accepted after the deadline, if field is not full, at the discretion of NWAGA. Partner substitutions may be made prior to competition.

CADDIES
Caddies are prohibited.

 PERSONAL APPEARANCE, FOOTWEAR
Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. Traditional spikes are prohibited. Model Local Rule G-7.

DETERMINING TIES
Any first place ties for overall gross, overall net and net flights will be determined by a scorecard play-off using the following method as recommended by the USGA.

 Scorecard Play-Off Procedure:
The winner will be based on the best score for the last round. If the tying sides have the same score for the last round or if the competition consists of a single round, the winner will be determined based on the score for holes 10-18, holes 13-18, holes 16-18 and finally the 18th hole. If there is still a tie, then the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn. If the round is less than 18 holes, the number of holes used in matching scores may be adjusted. For net competition, if the last nine, last six, last three holes scenario is used, one-half, one-third, one-sixth, etc. of the handicaps should be deducted from the score for those holes.

SCORE POSTING
Pinehurst scores are not eligible to post for handicap purposes.

Format

The tournament will consist of 36-holes of Pinehurst stroke play (both gross and net). In Pinehurst, two players play as partners, each partner plays from the teeing ground and plays the partners ball for the second shot. After the second shot, partners select the ball with which they wish to score and play that ball alternately to complete the hole.

FLIGHTS

Flights will be created in advance based on Team Handicap (combination of Handicap Indexes).

HANDICAP ALLOWANCE

Based on May 12 Handicap Revision. 60% of the lower player’s Course Handicap and 40% of the higher player’s Course Handicap determine a side’s Playing Handicap. Maximum Individual Handicap Index is 40.4.

PAIRINGS

A side’s combined Handicap Index will determine round one shotgun starting position with the lowest combined Handicap Indexes starting on hole 1. For the final round of competition, sides will be grouped by flights and round one net score.
